Have a t-shirt you like but don’t wear because of a logo, stain, or it just needs a refresh? Leant to upcycle it with applique!

Come along to our workshop, where you’ll learn techniques to upcycle t-shirts with applique patches and hand stitching.

Everything you need is provided. Use our secondhand fabric and shirts, or feel free to bring along a t-shirt you’re no longer wearing to practice applique and reverse applique to give new life to old clothes.

You’ll learn top tips for selecting the right fabric for patches and have the opportunity to practice backstitch, whipstitch, and/or herringbone hand-sewing stitches.

This workshop involves small scale hand sewing with sharp needles, scissors, and patience. Any children must be accompanied by an adult who will remain with them and assist them for the entire workshop.
