Creating New Tales – storytelling through Bharatanatyam dance!

2 – 4pm Mon 25th, Tue 26th & Wed 27th October

In this three-day workshop, participants will have an opportunity to learn the art of narrating a Welsh folktale using South Asian dance (Bharatanatyam) based movement and hand gestures.

We will start the workshop with a warm-up routine, followed by teaching of basic movements and hand gestures. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to narrate the whole folktale using the movements and gestures they have learned!

No prior experience needed. Suitable for ages 5 to 15.

Krishnapriya Ramamoorthy is an art producer, Bharatanatyam dancer, and painter based in Wales.

£12 per child for all three days.

Monday: £5 per child.

Tuesday: £5 per child.

Wednesday: £5 per child.
