Every week we’ll reveal a treasure trove of art materials\, loose parts and recycling themed around our exhibitions to be transformed into whatever artworks\, models and fashion accessories you can dream up! \nFamily Art Club is suitable for children of all ages and we encourage parents\, grandparents and carers to get stuck in too – this isn’t children’s art club\, its Family Art Club! \n– Please wear clothes you won’t be upset about getting messy. \n– All children must be accompanied by an adult. \nBooking \nFamily Art Club is a drop-in session\, but we do recommend booking to make sure that you have a place during busier times. Places at Family Art Club are offered on a ‘pay what you can’ donation basis\, so that you can choose how much to pay according to what your family can afford. International collaboration could be your answer! \nCome and join Dirty Protest\, Ty Pawb\, and artists from Wrexham and across Wales for a day exploring international creative collaboration and partnership working opportunities between Wales and the world. \nLearn from artists and programmers who are working internationally about the challenges and joys of creating work between Wales and other nations. Hear about the international opportunities for artists in Wrexham and Wales in 2026 and beyond from a range of artists and organisations taking Wales to the world. \nPanel discussions will outline how you can build links with partners in other countries\, find funding to take your work abroad\, and how you can find new markets to build a sustainable career. Working groups will share ideas for what Wrexham and Wales can bring to the world\, and how we can use opportunities like Wrecsam2029 City of Culture to support and underpin future collaboration. \nThe international touring landscape has changed\, especially with the impacts of Brexit and the global Covid19 pandemic\, but new opportunities for collaboration have risen for Wales to show our unique artistic and cultural work to the world. Come along and find out how you can be part of it. \nPart of Dirty Protest’s Artist Gym. For more than 10 years\, Dirty Protest has delivered collaborative projects between Wales and countries across multiple continents including Ireland\, Portugal\, Denmark\, France\, Poland\, Brazil\, Peru\, USA\, Canada\, Kazakhstan\, Tajikistan\, Australia\, Japan\, Pakistan\, and the company has toured their Wales-made theatre across the world. DESCRIPTION:A Warm Welcome at Ty Pawb –– Free Weekly Warm Space Craft Activity with a Hot Meal! \nAs part of Wrexham Council’s efforts to support residents through the cost of living crisis\, a number of community ‘warm places’ in have been established Wrexham. These are already existing warm spaces where people can come to stay warm\, including ten of our libraries and the Wellbeing Hub. \nLaunching on the 11th December\, Warm Welcome at Ty Pawb is a new Warm Space project that will offer participants the opportunity to learn new craft skills\, in a relaxed social environment with a free hot drink and hot meal. \nWarm Welcome has been funded through the Warm Spaces Small Grant Fund for the benefit of residents struggling with the cost of living. \nSessions will be delivered by experienced local artist Ceri Wright and include a range of creative activity including working with print\, collage and clay. DESCRIPTION:A Warm Welcome at Ty Pawb –– Free Weekly Warm Space Craft Activity with a Hot Meal! \nAs part of Wrexham Council’s efforts to support residents through the cost of living crisis\, a number of community ‘warm places’ in have been established Wrexham. These are already existing warm spaces where people can come to stay warm\, including ten of our libraries and the Wellbeing Hub. \nLaunching on the 11th December\, Warm Welcome at Ty Pawb is a new Warm Space project that will offer participants the opportunity to learn new craft skills\, in a relaxed social environment with a free hot drink and hot meal. \nWarm Welcome has been funded through the Warm Spaces Small Grant Fund for the benefit of residents struggling with the cost of living. \nSessions will be delivered by experienced local artist Ceri Wright and include a range of creative activity including working with print\, collage and clay. SUMMARY:NEW Academi Gresford Opera Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Calling all young musicians! Join us for an informal and relaxed workshop where we will learn music from the Ivor Novello Award-nominated opera Gresford\, Up From Underground\, playing and conducting alongside musicians from the NEW Sinfonia orchestra. \nOpen to ALL instrumentalists Grade 1 and above! \nYoung musicians will perform new extracts from our Opera production alongside our orchestra of professional musicians. This workshop will develop their ensemble performance\, confidence and leadership skills\, and create inspirational and lasting musical memories as they play side-by-side with professional musicians. They will also be invited to try conducting the orchestra!  \nAt 12.15pm we will have an informal performance of what we have worked on for parents before the workshop ends at 12.30pm.  \nWe are taking Jon Guy’s Award-nominated opera Gresford\, Up From Underground on tour across Wales. There are opportunities for young musicians to play in the orchestra during the performances in addition to the workshops. Young musicians must take part in a workshop to be eligible to play in a performance.  \nIf you would like to sign up\, please RSVP using the form below so we know who is attending and what instruments they play. \nSheet music can be found in the folder linked below. There are 5 parts and each part has some variations for difficulty level – please pick whichever part is most suitable for you! SUMMARY:Composing Belonging: Voices from Cymru and the Arab World
DESCRIPTION:Composing Belonging is a one-off\, live music experience bringing together three artists from across Wales. \nOriginal songs\, specialist musicians\, and an open Q&A in a welcoming\, relaxed setting. \nOver an intensive creative week\, Yasmine Latkowski (Panedeni)\, Ayoub Boukhalfa (One World Oasis Choir) and Sera Zyborska come together to share stories\, musical traditions and lived experiences rooted in Arabic and Welsh cultures. The result is an evening of new\, original songs that will only be heard in this form at this event. \nThis FREE sharing performance at Tŷ Pawb offers something closer to an open\, collaborative music circle. Each artist will introduce their background and influences\, perform solo and collaborative pieces\, and talk about how the music was created. The evening will end with an open Q&A\, inviting audiences into the conversation. \nYou’ll hear specialist instrumentalists from Arabic and Welsh traditions\, rich vocal harmonies\, rhythm\, and storytelling — and gain insight into the histories\, sounds and personal journeys behind the music. \nNo prior knowledge is needed. Everyone is welcome. \nCome to listen\, to learn\, and to be part of a shared musical experience. \nThis project is supported by Arts Council Wales. \n\nArtist Bios:\nSERA (Sarah Louise Zyborska)\nA bilingual folk singer-songwriter from Caernarfon\, North Wales\, SERA is known for her evocative songs inspired by landscape\, language and place. She performs in Welsh and English\, has received BBC Radio support\, and recently collaborated with Eve Goodman on the project Natur. \nAyoub Boukhalfa\nAyoub is a queer Moroccan singer and performer based in Wales\, rooted in Moroccan Chaabi. He has worked with National Theatre Wales\, facilitates the One World Oasis Choir\, and uses music to explore identity\, belonging\, and community. \nYasmine Latkowski (Panedeni)\nYasmine is a composer and performer whose work blends Arabic and Welsh influences.
