Gypsy Makers
Join us for conversation with Emyr Prys Jones, a local artist, best known for his stained glass work which features in many locations around north Wales including the Stiwt Theatre in Rhos and Brymbo Parish Church.
In addition to his stained glass work he has exhibited his paintings, drawings and photography on previous occasions.
Mr Jones first trained as a scientist and continued to work in the field while following drawing and painting as a hobby.
He began a part-time course to improve his painting, and later completed an A-Level in the subject and a course in glass painting at the North East Wales Institute of Higher Education.
After taking a break due to ill health, Mr Jones continued to work with glass, including painting portraits on glass of his own grandchildren.
The event will be delivered in Welsh. Simultaneous translation will be available.
Refreshments will be provided.
Free entry.
This event is part of a series of artist talks we are presenting as part of our Maker Space Showcase. See our website for further details.
