Family Art Club 2024

Family Art Club celebrates creativity and play through hands-on making, painting and drawing. Every week we’ll reveal a treasure trove of art materials, loose parts and recycling themed around our exhibitions to be transformed into whatever artworks, models and fashion accessories you can dream up!

Family Art Club is suitable for children of all ages and we encourage parents, grandparents and carers to get stuck in too – this isn’t children’s art club, its Family Art Club! All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please wear clothes you won’t be upset about getting messy.

Breakfast cereal for children is provided for free at this club.

Booking
Family Art Club is a drop-in session, but we do recommend booking to make sure that you have a place during busier times. Places at Family Art Club are offered on a ‘pay what you can’ donation basis, so that you can choose how much to pay according to what your family can afford. Your donations support us in delivering an accessible arts service for local families.

Family Art Club Membership

A Family Art Club Membership is £50 for the academic year (September 2024 to July 2025) and includes the following benefits:

• Automatic booking for 38 Family Art Club sessions with a family group of up to 6 people

• Receive a Family Art Club welcome bag with an array of exciting art supplies including water colours, paint brushes, pencils, oil pastels, scrapbooks and activity sheets

• Be first in the know on school holiday and family learning activities, with early bird booking for members and direct invites to exhibition launches

Membership is optional, and supports us in providing our arts learning programme.

7th September – Neon! What can you do with a pallet of day-glow hues?

14th September – Cardboard! What can you make from boxes and packaging?

21st September – Dots! Spots, circles and bingo markers – its creativity all round!

28th September – Threads! Ropes, wools and shoelaces – what will you string together?

5th October –Squash! This week gets squidgy! Roll up your sleeves for play dough, plasticine and clay! Make sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy this session.

12th October – Shimmer! Its glitz and glimmer this week as we roll out the tin foil!

19th October – Black History 365 – Join artists from Wrexham’s diverse communities for a range of multicultural activities.

26th October – Midnight! Dark and moody or starry and sparkly? This week we get spooky!

2nd November – Break for Half Term
