Saturdays in September (7th, 14th, 21st & 28th), 2.30pm to 3.30pm

Join us for a series of relaxed drawing sessions in our rooftop garden. The first part of the session consists of gently guided sketching exercises with the group, before a tea break and self-led drawing time. Rather than being a taught class, the focus of these sessions is on taking time outdoors to slow down and enjoy the mark making process.

Bring your own sketchbook and materials, or use those provided. Drawing boards and easels will be available, as well as cartridge paper, pencils, graphite sticks, charcoal, chalk and oil pastels.

How to Find the Rooftop Garden

The Rooftop Garden is located on level 2a of our multi-storey carpark.

If you’re not parking in our multi-storey – please check in at reception on the ground floor (opposite the toilets) before heading up to the garden.

From the ground floor, take the North Arcade lift (nearest Siop Siwan) to level 2, then go through both sets of glass doors to the carpark. Follow the ramp on your left round to the garden gates.

If you have any problems locating the garden, there are intercoms located at most doors in the carpark where you can get in touch with reception.

Accessibility

The Rooftop Garden is wheelchair accessible via level 2a of the multi-storey carpark.

A standard accessible toilet is available one floor below the garden, and a Changing Places toilet (with hoist) is available on the ground floor of Ty Pawb.

Wearing headphones is welcome during this session. Due to the location of this activity in the city centre, we cannot guarantee a consistently quiet environment.

This session is delivered in English.

Booking

Booking is essential due to limited places. Tickets are ‘pay what you can’, this session is suitable for adults aged 19 and over. Delivery outdoors is subject to weather conditions, join us in the gallery if things turn miserable!
