Tŷ Pawb is seeking a freelance Creative Producer to help us recruit and support a new Youth Advisory Board (YAB), between October 2020 and March 2021.

The Creative Producer will:

  • Develop connections with relevant Wrexham organisations, in order to identify young people who could benefit the most from being part of the YAB, and who could bring a valuable contribution to Tŷ Pawb as we plan for a changing future.
  • Work in partnership with Wrexham organisations to recruit between 10 and 12 YAB members.
  • Work in dialogue with the Tŷ Pawb team
  • Work in dialogue with individual young people and organisations, to see if the YAB is right for them, if they have any support needs, and to identify a support plan for each member if required.
  • Work in dialogue with artist Harold Offeh, who will lead a creative project with the YAB once it is established. This will include co-delivery of workshop sessions both online and at Ty Pawb.
  • Meet specific deadlines to ensure the YAB is in place by mid November, to begin work with artist Harold Offeh.|
  • Project manage Harold Offeh’s creative project with the YAB, including coordinating purchase and delivery of materials, and maintaining dialogue with relevant partner organisations and the Ty Pawb team.

The Creative Producer role will run from 12th October 2020 to 26th March 2021, the contract is for a minimum of 25 days work in total. Sessions with the YAB will take place both online and within Tŷ Pawb (subject to restrictions), the project will culminate in an exhibition of work created by the YAB and Harold Offeh, exploring the theme of Aspirations. The exhibition will take place both online and in Tŷ Pawb.

There is a maximum fee of £6,250 available for this role, including expenses. The fee will be paid in instalments, subject to project milestones being met and number of days worked.

Attributes:

For this role we are seeking somebody who is highly organised, motivated and enthusiastic; and who has exceptional communication skills. Knowledge of Wrexham will be highly advantageous.

A background in the arts, or demonstrable passion for and knowledge of the arts, is essential.

Experience working with young people is essential.

Ability to work online.

Project management experience is essential.
