Composing Belonging

Composing Belonging: Original Music from Arabic and Welsh Traditions, is a unique collaboration between Yasmine Latkowski (media composer, Panedeni), Ayoub Boukhalfa (One World Oasis Choir) and Sera Zyborska.
Songwriters will create an original body of work exploring rich heritages of two different cultures of music and language, celebrating the rich diversity of Wales.
This FREE event at Tŷ Pawb will present these original compositions with specialist instrumentalists from Arabic and Welsh traditions in an immersive performance, including live discussions and audience engagement.
This event will not only showcase the music, but offers a deeper insight into the histories and sounds of both traditions. Audience feedback will inform future development of the project and help shape our broader aim: to champion inclusivity and cultural exchange through the power of music.
The project has been made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council Wales.
