Dw i wedi bod yn artist ers 25 o flynyddoedd bellach (mae hynny’n gwneud i mi deimlo moooor hen)!

• Sut mae’r Cyfnod Clo wedi effeithio ar y ffordd rydych chi’n gweithio?

Dw i wedi gallu ymrwymo’n llwyr i’m gwaith celf, heb ymyriadau a dw i’n teimlo’n ffodus iawn bod gen i fy ngwaith celf i fynd â’m sylw i ac i ganolbwyntio arno yn ystod y cyfnod anodd hwn. Yn emosiynol mae’r amser rydw i wedi’i dreulio yn y stiwdio wedi fy nghynnal a fedraf ond dychmygu pa mor anodd ydi hi i rywun sydd heb rywbeth i’w ysgogi.

• Ble ydych chi’n cael y pleser mwyaf yn eich gwaith?

Mae lliw ac arbrofi yn rhoi pleser mawr i mi. Mae deall lliw i’r dim yn gallu cymryd oes, ond dw i wrth fy modd efo’r frwydr i wneud i ddarlun weithio (er fy mod i’n aflwyddiannus yn aml iawn) a gwneud i’r lliw fod yn gyffrous ac yn gytbwys ar yr un pryd. Dw i hefyd yn hoff iawn o arbrofi gydag arwynebau, cyfryngau newydd, cyfraneddau a chyfansoddiadau, a gwthio fy hun i geisio datblygu fy ngallu ymhellach.

• Pa argraff ydych chi am i’ch gwaith ei wneud ar gynulleidfaoedd?

Mae arnaf eisiau i’m gwaith celf gysylltu ein traddodiad peintio rhyfeddol gyda’r foment hon. Mae celf gyfoes bron iawn wedi gwneud peintio yn ddiangen, ond dw i’n dewis cadw’r traddodiad hwn a dathlu rhyfeddod olew ar gynfas. Sydd, yn fy marn i, yn dal mor radical ag erioed. Dw i wrth fy modd efo geometreg ffractal a’r ailadrodd sydd i’w weld yn y byd o’n cwmpas, felly dw i’n ceisio creu tirluniau hardd, gyda haenau o weadau a lliw sy’n siarad efo ni ar adeg pan fo teithio fel y mynnwn ni wedi’i gyfyngu.
