TŶ PAWB OPEN 2022 – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

SELECTION PROCESS

This year the initial selections were made by the team in-house at Ty Pawb, with criteria including: ensuring a range of techniques / practices represented across the show and ensuring inclusion of non-professional alongside professional artists.

SELECTED WORKS:

If your work has been selected please ensure your work is ready for the drop off on Saturday 1st or Sunday 2nd October, between 10am-4pm.

On Sunday the building will be closed so please gather by the main entrance on Market Street. LL13 8BB. We will be looking out for you.

If you cannot deliver on either of those dates, please contact typawb@wrexham.gov.uk  to arrange another time.

We are unable to store wrapping and packaging materials and will ask you to remove those and take them away with you.

However, if work is delivered by a third party.eg. a courier, we will make an exception and store the wrapping.

FRAMING

All artworks should be framed by the artist with mirror plates attached.

Please get in touch with the team if you have any specific installation requirements or queries. eg 3D work.

Exhibition launch evening/private viewing and awards presented

15th October 2022 – 07 January 2023

Exhibition dates, excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays.

COLLECTION OF WORK

New collection dates announced:

10am – 4pm Sunday 8th January and Monday 9th January 2023

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

All works are insured whilst on exhibition. At all other times insurance should be taken out by the artist if required. All works are condition checked upon arrival. The work will be handled with maximum care. The organisers will not be responsible for any loss or damage during transportation.

COPYRIGHT PERMISSION

In submitting the application form, you give us permission to use your image/s for publicity purposes. We may also use your image on the Tŷ Pawb and Wrexham County Borough Council (WCBC) websites. We will state that copyright remains with the artist.

SALES & COMMISSION

All work is for sale unless specified on the application form. Commission is payable at 30% plus VAT (ie 36% of the artists retail price) and this should be reflected in the price stated on the application form in £ Sterling (GBP).

EXHIBITION

The event is organised by Tŷ Pawb and the exhibition will take place in Gallery 1 at Tŷ Pawb, Market Street, Wrexham, LL138BY. All artists are invited to the opening event.
