When dark and light are equal
Artist Jenny Cashmore culminates her artist residency at Erddig National Trust, when the dark and light hours become equal around the March Equinox.
She invites you to come, at this time of balance, to explore what a more equal relationship with nature might feel, sound, taste, smell and look like.
Dip in and out of a programme that utilises different locations of the free-to-access parkland and uses the environment’s cues to determine the schedule, primarily pivoting around solar noon at 12:20.

Heather Wilson hosts Jenny Cashmore for a creatively programmed edition.
You are invited to;
- Use a set of creative prompts that can be enacted or imagined. Collect onsite on the day.
- Bring and share a picnic.
- Taste a bespoke blended ‘balanced’ drink (the weather’s temperature determining whether we serve it warm or cool).
- Listen to a sound scape.
- Explore your own balance with family friendly activities.
- Creative interventions.
- Participate in a sunrise and/or sunset run.
Moments of both solitude and togetherness can be enjoyed as Cashmore’s project presents a balanced creative programme to help us contemplate our relationship with the natural world around us, and our own wellbeing.
This event is friendly and suitable for all ages. If you have any accessibility concerns, please contact us to see how we might be able to support you to attend. Toilet facilities will be available at Felin Puleston.
