Gav is bursting with childhood memories. Painting miniature elf figurines. Hanging out in HMV. Killing and skinning rabbits to survive. Now Gav is about to be a father himself, does he want his son to have a childhood just like he had – or something a bit less… feral?
Featuring original music and songs you will know and love, performed by Andy Hickie, Hazel Sian and DJ Laura Leigh Dickenson.
Directed by Catherine Paskell
Come and be part of making new theatre in Wrexham by local artists!
This is a script-in-hand performance of a new play in development. This means the script is at an early stage of development for the stage and you, the audience, can help us create the play by attending this performance and letting us know what you think of it. You will see this play performed script-in-hand by the actors. After the performance, there will be a short Q&A conversation, so we can find out what you thought worked and what didn’t. Your feedback can be taken into the next stage of writing the script as we work towards making a fully realised production. We will love to know what you think, it honestly really helps us make our plays great!
Short plays written by the attendees of our Introduction to Gig Theatre Workshop will also be performed before HOW TO GROW. See here for information on how to book to attend this free workshop on Tuesday 16 April.
Drop In Sessions:
See how Dirty Protest make live theatre. Drop in to our rehearsals, join us for a cuppa and see how live performance is made whilst parting part of making our show: How To Grow. We want to hear your stories about how food connects with your life: how food fits into your memories: birthdays, holidays, childhood to help; and we want to hear your feedback on what you think of our story about the connections we have made between food and our memories of growing up.
2-5pm Monday 15; 2-5pm Tuesday 16 April ; 10am – 12pm Wednesday 17; 10am – 12pm Thursday 18 April.
