Gypsy Makers
Workshop with Tim Price, one of Wales’ leading playwrights.
Tim will take us through dramatic structure, how to structure your stories, and salvage your ideas. It is useful if you have an idea for a play, or a script you are already working on, but this is not essential. Please bring something to write with: laptop or pen and paper are fine.
If you want to write a short 10-minute play through the workshop, you will have the option to have the Dirty Protest company of professional actors and directors perform your play for a live audience on Thursday 7 December, alongside our script-in-hand performance of PA GUR by Chris Ingram, a play in development.
TIM PRICE is a playwright, screenwriter and lecturer. Credits as WRITER include: Nye (National Theatre); Salt Root and Roe (Donmar Warehouse); Isla (Theatr Clwyd); How To Ruin Someone’s Life From The Comfort of Your Own Beanbag, Demos (Traverse Theatre); I’m With the Band (Traverse Theatre/Wales Millennium Centre); Elevenses (Somerset House); The Insatiable and Inflatable Candylion (National Theatre Wales); Teh Internet is Serious Business (Royal Court); Protest Song (National Theatre); Praxis Makes Perfect (National Theatre Wales/Barbican tour); The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning – winner of the James Tait Black Prize (National Theatre Wales) and For Once (Pentabus Theatre/Hampstead Theatre).
